Dramatic in nature, these disco strings can find their place on the dance floor, woven into a lush soundscape or become the centerpiece of the music for a French indie film. As the final installment of our quarantine series, violist and violinist Will Marshall recorded this package at his home studio in Brooklyn, NY. He layered each instrument – two violins and one viola – eight times to create a huge sound associated with disco strings.
The result is soaring, emotional, nostalgic and perfect for French house, nu disco, pop and many other styles of dance music.
